Hemp milk is a delicious, rich and creamy plant-based milk that is high in nutrients and protein. It makes a great alternative to dairy.  Many commercially non dairy milks are full of preservatives, sugars and oils, with very little of the key ingredient. When you make hemp milk at home, it is fresher, creamier and way more delicious!

Sweet Vanilla Milk Recipe

  • ½ cup hemp seeds
  • 4 cups coconut water
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 2 medjool dates
  • pinch of salt
Method
  1. Blend your hemp seeds with the vanilla, date, salt and coconut water until smooth
  2. Strain and pour into a sterilized container
  3. Chill and serve

Strawberry Milk Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups frozen or fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup hemp seeds
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 medjool dates
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder
Method
  1. Add strawberries and date to a pan and cook on a medium heat until they break down into a sticky jam-like texture. Set aside to cool
  2. Blend your strawberry jam with your milk until smooth
  3. Strain milk using a sieve or nut-milk bag then chill before serving

We like to sweeten our hemp milk with mineral-dense dates and a little bit of vanilla powder or vanilla bean, We prefer these types of vanilla as they don’t contain alcohol and just have a pure vanilla flavour.

The beauty of hemp milk is that it is highly nutritious and when made at home, can be as sweet or savoury as you like.

Basic Hemp Milk Recipe

  1. Blend together the hulled hemp seeds and water until well incorporated.
  2. Strain your milk using a muslin cloth or nut milk bag

Chocolate Milk Recipe

  • Ingredients
  • ½ cup hemp seeds
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 medjool dates
  • 2 tbs raw cacao powder
Method
  1. Blend your milk with the cacao and date
  2. Strain and pour into a sterilised container
  3. Chill and serve
